smoke curls around your

lips

my eyes wander down your hips



following my gaze my

brain a step behind

taking you in



the gaze that

wanders back to your

face

meeting the same

passion sparked inferno

behind those

eyes of yours



force myself to focus

elsewhere- on that dark

sky and horizon that blend

together behind you

focus- focus on the abyss

and the crash

of impending sea side tides.



my skin tingles as my blood

pulses through my veins  and

travels from my heart to my head

to my stomach to

my throat  to my toes

and my heart it

shrinks and it grows



the smoke swirls and

circles into my

peripherals



cant stop the grin

that dominates my

face like

spider glass cracks



and i see that



remarkable heart-

                   stoppable

smile.

Sultry summer sun

Beating into skin

Somewhere I'm surrounded

By nothing

By everything

It's made up of everything tiny

One ecosystem surviving

On it's own

I'm in the midst

Of lush green forest

It dies- corrodes it breathes and lives

All in it's own instant

Silent

Except for an august wind

That rushes all around me

To breathe easy is a luxury

I seldom think

That anyone else could connect to this

They can't

This is my land

A homeland

Land our country should be

Hide away and escape to this surrounding

This grove is growing- budding

I close my eyes and listen

And forget that there's anything else

Except for you-for me- for this

And this is it

I'll grow old here someday

Like the trees that reach the sky

I'll rest here someday

Maybe you'll choose to rest too

In this sanctuary

This grove envelops me

Enlightens me

As it swallows me up and swallows the light

But in the darkness it releases it's life

And we are one

With this wild wilderness
